Creativity and Your Appearance

They say there's nothing deeply profound and special about one's looks when it's about defining genuine creative personality, for original appearance doesn't always mean original way of thinking and certain unique masterpieces and creations it may it result in.

If a person looks different from other people in the streets, does it mean that he is very creative and original? Does appearance contribute to one's creative personality, or is it just a unique wrapping of a candy which is sold in each and every shop? Regarding pierced and tattooed people who try to stand out by decorating (or spoiling – opinions are different here) their bodies in order to express their certain views or mood or originality... Does their original decoration make up to their highly creative personalities?

Certainly, looks is a quite superficial criterion to strictly define creativity, it certainly isn't enough when we speak of a genuinely creative personality. It's a fine cover, but if we take a look at what's inside, it doesn't mean that we'll find equally creative inner world.

Of course, we can't generalize the whole social groups or subcultures of people and say they are pseudo-creative, it's all individual. The fact of a person wearing clothes and a hairdo or anything else which isn't used to being seen among the 'normal' people in the streets, it already suggests certain flavour of creativity. However, it's not enough to make up a genuinely interesting and creative personality.

In order to be one, a person should do something, create something unique and i.e. show the rest that his (her) actions and creations are as unique and original and his (her) clothes or certain accessories.
