Fake Creativity

Why does fake creativity appear? Let's point out the main various reasons why and different situation when it may occur to some of us to fake creativity:
1. You're being interviewed for a job for the first (second time). You're shaking and shivering, you are worried, shocked and confused. You mumble and occasionally unintentionally grumble till you pull yourself together. And when you finally do you start realizing that in order to be hired you should express as much creativity as possible – the potential job requires creativity after all. That's when you start overcreativate your potential boss which examples of fake shotgun originality sometimes even without realizing that you are drooling with streams of consciousness understandable only to you – when you are in a shotgun condition that is.
2. When you are on the first date with a girl/woman you have been crazy about for months and now you have finally got her precious attention. Now you are positive that your main task is to show the woman of your dreams who is sitting right in front of you at a fancy restaurant that you are unique in the background of the grey crowds. That's when you start making things up, boasting needlessly, showing some tricky attitude, doing anything to impress her with your originality i.e. expressing fake creativity when there isn't any or when your situation is just too agitating for you to realize that you pretend extra creativity.
Regarding the situations when you may fake your creativity, they are numerous and they are as follows.
You fake your creativity when:
1. You do not possess any. Editor's note aka Constructive advice: start developing your creativity. How? See other sections of our website to find out.
2. You desperately want to sound, look, and be all creative at work either in the beginning or in the golden middle of your career. Usually at these moments you squeeze 'original' ideas out of your exhausted shocked mind instead of successfully generating them.
3. You want to impress someone in personal sphere which also suggests faking your creativity either when you are a total bore (see point 1.) or when you are worried very much and start talking rubbish instead of expressing your wit and charm.
4. You are simply wired this way. Simple as that. You've always been into boasting highly exaggerated achievements and virtues of yours (which aren't often totally yours even). In this case 'creativity' is awkwardly angular and the fact that it is fake speaks volumes loud and clear.
As you can see, fake creativity is easily discernable. One may have certain creative remarks to excuse his or her pretending skills, but still, we should control our process of creativeness for it's only genuine creativity that counts and by the way, even occasionally pays off.
